Samantha Washburn-Baronie is the deputy director of the Office of Economic Empowerment for the Massachusetts State Treasury. Prior to joining the Office of Economic Empowerment, Samantha was the associate director of corporate and Foundation Relations at Simmons College. She also served as the executive director of the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus.
Shaitia Spruell is the senior program officer for the Massachusetts Treasurer’s Office of Economic Empowerment. She oversees programming across Central and Western Mass. Shaitia has a passion for empowering women and youth around social issues that affect them directly. Shaitia has previously served as a commissioner on the Hampden County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls.
